Well, I'm sure that there's a charm, or a pepper up potion for toads?

Other than that, are you making sure he gets enough exercise, and that his diet is right? Toads can get fair sick if you don't keep up all the maintenance. Also, he may need a fair amount of water to keep him cool and wet.
