Kemaru Leaving: Chapter 4 !
Kibum ran straight out of the dorm only stopping to grab his shoes and jacket. Tears were streaming down his cheeks and it didn’t slip past the members.
“Kibum-ah ! Apologize to…are you crying?” Alexander began to scold Kibum until he noticed his slightly shaking form as he put on his shoes. Alexander left Eli’s side who had Dongho tending to him, Soohyun right behind him.
“Kibum! Stop where are you going? Come talk to us, come back!” He followed Kibum out the door Soohyun on his heels, going down stair case after stair case. They made it to the 4th floor when Kibum finally collapsed against a wall crying harshly. Alexander quickly strode to Kibums side while the latter rested his head on his knees.
“Kibummie what happened?” Alexander cooed softly wrapping is arms around Kibum while Soohyun texted Dongho to check on Kevin. He figured if Kibum of all people was in such a state, Kevin would be far worse.
“He…I … Keivn! Oh God Kevin! He…likes Eli.” Kibum nearly choked on his name as a fresh batch of tears came down. Alexander was in shock for a moment. Eli and Kevin? He couldn’t help but laugh softly.
“You’re an idiot Kibum. Kevin likes Eli as a friend, and Kevin loves you!” Kibum looked up with eyes only hopeful.
“He told me Kibum. I woke up at night to find him curled up on the couch crying. I asked him what was wrong and all he was saying is “I Love you”. He was holding your picture Kibum, he really, really loves you. This whole thing with Eli is a misunderstanding. You know how close all of us are. Let’s go back upstairs and fix this ok?” Alexander stood up offering his hand to Kibum, only to stop when they heard Soohyun gasp.
“Kevin! We need to get up there NOW!” Soohyun screamed while bolting up the stairs Alexander and Kibum coming right after, worry engraved on their faces. What happened to Kevin? Was he crying that bad? Kibum knew when Kevin was really hurt he’d cry so might he might hyperventilate.

Kevin opened the box and sighed. He picked up this little habit of self-harm right around the time his nightmares got worse. Despite what Kibum told him, Kevin still thought it was his fault Kibum didn’t want to keep him. He was feeling worthless and it finally took a toll on Kevin, starting with the nightmares, to his developed insomnia, his different appetite, lack of actually. But this was much bigger than those. Kevin remembered the first time he started to cut himself, he was shaking and crying trying to stop the blood flowing from his wrist afraid he might die. But in a strange way he was comforted with that thought, feeling the warm liquid wash over him like a blanket, Kevin didn’t want it to end.
*Flash back*
“Kevin, where…WHAT THE HELL!!” Jun Hyung screamed while running over to his dongsang who was on the floor bleeding out of both his wrists.
“Kevin what the hell did you do!” Kevin smiled up at his worried Hyung as if nothing in the world was wrong.
“It feels nice Hyung, you said you wanted me to feel happy no matter what right? Well this makes me happy.” Kevin said it as it was the most normal way to cope with things. Jun Hyung could only look at Kevin to put away the knife, he wondered how long this has been going on. He took Kevin’s arms and lead him to the bathroom to get him cleaned up and bandaged.
Kevin went with Jun Hyung without any protest, smiling happy to himself because he managed to get 10 cuts on his arms this time. Jun Hyun quickly bandaged Kevin’s small arms and pull him into his own holding him close as he began to cry. He couldn’t stand seeing Kevin’s tired eyes, his slim figure getting slimmer as it was, but this..this was way too much for him to handle.
“Hyungie why are you crying” Kevin said with a small pout nuzzling against this Hyung.
“Kevin, I’m sorry, I’m sorry I couldn’t help you more. Please stop this please!” Jun Hyung begged, pleaded with Kevin who only smiled and shook his head.
“It’s my comfort Hyung, let me have my comfort.” Jun Hyung couldn’t stop Kevin so he figured he’d try his best to be there. He started going with Kevin every time he wanted to cut. Trying to regulate how much strength Kevin used and how many times he’d cut. Always ready with bandages and scar remover so that no one would know of this but him and Kevin.

Kevin sighed, he promised Jun Hyung when he left that he’d try harder to stop. Kevin did for awhile, he didn’t cut for months, but that was probably due to the company giving him extra schedules to try and get fans to accept the newer members that came in.
Kevin laughed as he looked at both of his arms, covered in cuts and blood from his wrist to the crook of his elbow. He never cut so much, but he figured he didn’t have a reason to live anymore. Kibum hated him, the one person he’s been trying to make fall back in love with him for months hated him now. Kevin felt stupid for holding onto feelings for Kibum. He felt dizzy, all the heat from his body was slowly leaving and Kevin smiled. He was going to miss everyone, and he felt apologetic to them, because he’d be effecting the group when he left, and all the fans, his fans. He sighed and tried to walk over to the bed only to fall straight on the floor. He would have laughed, if he hadn’t blacked out.

Dongho walked into the room after getting a text from Soohyun to check on Kevin, he didn’t expect to see what he did. He screamed! Kevin, lying on the floor bleeding from both his arms. After closing his phone he ran to Kevin just as Eli walked into the room asking what happened until he too screamed and ran to Kevin’s limp form on the floor. Eli pulled Kevin into his lap, resting his head against his chest while he tried to shake Kevin awake.
“Kevin, Kevin! Kevin say something, get up please! Dongho call an ambulance!” Eli continued to shake Kevin trying to keep his voice steady, now was not the time to be crying. Kevin stirred and looked up smiling through half lidded eyes at Eli. He felt warmth around his cold body, and it felt nice he was going to miss it.
“Eli, don’t cry.” Kevin said quietly trying to reach up and hug Eli but was stopped when the door to the dorm suddenly busted open and the members started calling for him. They entered Kibum and Kevin’s room to find Eli holding a very pale and bloodied Kevin. Kibum ran across and grabbed Kevin from Eli’s arms holding him close against his chest while tears fell out of his eyes.
“Kevin why! Why’d you do this!”
“Sorry Bummie” Kevin cooed softly resting his head against Kibum. He couldn’t have had a better way to go than in the arms of someone he loved. Everything started to fade to black for Kevin. His life was flashing before him, all the memories from living in San Francisco up until he moved to Korea. He remembered entering Xing entertainment and how much fun he had with Jun Hyung and the other members. The first day Kibum entered the group he was captivated by the boy. Love at first sight and over time it didn’t seem so unrequited. Even as everything was starting to fade he managed to say one last thing to Kibum, he wouldn’t regret it. After all these months he could finally tell Kibum that he still loved him.
“Bummie….I lo..ve…you.” Kibum started to panic, Kevin went limp in his arms again. He put his ear by Kevin’s mouth and he was barely breathing, his heart barely beating. He whispered a stream of I love you too’s and I’m sorry’s into Kevin’s hair. He looked up with dry eyes at Soohyun and Alexander who tried desperately to bandage Kevin’s arms. The only time he let Kevin go was when the paramedics came, Kibum was covered in Kevin’s blood and just sat there on the floor, staring at his arms.
He was brought back into reality when he was suddenly lifted off the floor and shoved into the back of the ambulance by Alexander.
“Kevin needs someone with him in case he wakes up. He’ll be fine Kibum don’t worry, go with him. We’ll meet you there.” Kibum only nodded and looked at his pale angel while the paramedics tried to stop his bleeding and inserted needles connected to a blood bag.

The members of U-kiss arrived at the hospital a minute after Kibum had with the ambulance. They all met in the lobby looking worried when a doctor approached them.
“He needs a blood donation. He’s lost almost half of what is needed for a human to live. Even if we give him the blood there is only a 30% chance he’ll live.” Everyone was frozen. Kevin might die. Kevin was blood type O and fortunately for him, three of his other members were too. Alexander, Kibum and Eli all donated blood to Kevin. It’s not that Kevin needed blood from three people to live, it was so they could take less blood from them and allow them to be up and running instead of sluggish and tired.
Kibum was sitting by Kevin’s passed out form in the hospital bed. He was connected to different types of monitors and still had a blood IV going. He gently took Kevin’s hand and placed a kiss to it.
“I’m sorry. Kevin, why? Why was this the only way? I love you Kevin…I’m so sorry! I’m sorry, I was such an idiot. I should have just told you when I first saw you I still love you….please Kevin-“ Kibum was cut off when Alexander came into the room.
“Did he do this while he was in Xing?”
“No.”
“Do you have anyone you could call? Maybe it happened after you left.”
“Are you saying this is my fault?” Kibum didn’t mean to yell or get angry with Alexander. He knew he was just trying to figure out what had caused this. Even though Kibum knew Kevin probably started after he had left.
“Sorry, and yeah I do. I’ll go call him now.” Kibum strode over to the door, looking for his shoulder at Alexander who was now holding Kevin’s hand as he did moments before. He sighed and walked out, Jun Hyung would know something. If this did happen after Kibum left, he was going to kill Jun Hyung for not telling him. If he knew, he would have contacted Kevin. He would have begged Kevin to take him back.

Jun Hyung got up from his spot laying next to Ki Kwang to retrieve his phone, they were all tired from dance rehearsal, they were going to debut soon so they needed all the practice they could get. He wasn’t shocked to see it was Kibum. Kibum called him a lot ever since Kevin entered his new group, and he was almost always crying about how Kevin got over him. Although Jun Hyung told Kibum other wise and tried to comfort him the stubborn boy wouldn’t listen.
“Hey Ki---“ He was cut off by a very sad sounding Kibum.
“Kevin tried to kill himself, when did he start cutting?” Jun Hyung didn’t know how to reply, Kevin promised he’d try harder and call him if he needed anything. Hell he thought that if Kibum was there Kevin would be fine.
“Hyung!”
“Sorry Kibum, he started when you left. I tried helping him..”
“Why didn’t you tell me?!”
“I thought he would be fine if you were there.”
“I screwed up, I hurt him…it’s all my fault”
“Kibum no its not, stop this now! You need to be there for Kevin now more than ever. It doesn’t matter if you caused it or not, he did it and that’s it. All you can do now is hope he’ll be fine.”
“He might not live..I have to go.” Jun Hyung heard Kibum take in a sharp breath before the line went dead. He strode back over to Ki Kwang tears in his eyes.
“Kibum. Kevin tried to kill himself..he might not live.” Was all he managed before he sank to the floor and started to sob. Ki Kwang wrapped his arms around him and tried to comfort him.
“Everything will be fine, don’t worry.” Jun Hyung could only hope.

Kibum walked in and explained everything Jun Hyung told him over the phone.
“So it is your fault. You broke this angel!” Eli spat hatefully at Kibum, he was angry and upset that Kibum could have said or done something so horrible to Kevin when they were alone in the room earlier to make Kevin want to die.
“I’m sorry.” Everyone looked over at him, they didn’t expect an apology.
“It’s not really your fault Kibum. We’re all just stressing right now. Don’t pay attention to Eli.” Alexander spoke giving Kibum back his previous seat beside Kevin. Kibum took Kevin’s hand in his own again and sighed.
“I hate you.”
“What?” Soohyun questioned while shifting Dongho’s sleeping form a bit. Dongho cried himself to sleep on Soohyun minutes before Kibum came back in.
“I told him I hate you, after I pinned him against the wall and kissed him.” Everyone was silent, there was nothing they could say. They couldn’t be mad at Kibum because he didn’t know Kevin was like this either. If he knew, they were sure he wouldn’t have said that to him no matter what happened.
“Vinny ah…” Kibum called quietly while running his fingers through Kevin’s raven locks. The color making his already pale face slightly paler.
“Vinny I love you, I’m so sorry. I don’t know if you can hear me. But I love you.” Kibum kissed Kevin’s forehead. Kevin’s heart monitor spiked a bit, then a lot. Kevin was having a heart attack? The monitors started to beep wildly as the doctor and nurses came in. The members of U-kiss quickly exited while watching through the window as Kevin’s small body started to shake violently on the bed. Kibum saw it, he saw Kevin’s heart monitor go blank, just a straight line. No one else saw this but Kibum. He stepped back crying and he fell to the floor. The members diverted their attention to Kibum who was crying. Kibum couldn’t believe it. Kevin…..Kevin was…..he…
Kevin was dead, and it was all Kibum’s fault.

“I told him I hate you, after I pinned him against the wall and kissed him.” Everyone was silent, there was nothing they could say. They couldn’t be mad at Kibum because he didn’t know Kevin was like this either. If he knew, they were sure he wouldn’t have said that to him no matter what happened.
“Vinny ah…” Kibum called quietly while running his fingers through Kevin’s raven locks. The color making his already pale face slightly paler.
“Vinny I love you, I’m so sorry. I don’t know if you can hear me. But I love you.” Kibum kissed Kevin’s forehead. Kevin’s heart monitor spiked a bit, then a lot. Kevin was having a heart attack? The monitors started to beep wildly as the doctor and nurses came in. The members of U-kiss quickly exited while watching through the window as Kevin’s small body started to shake violently on the bed. Kibum saw it, he saw Kevin’s heart monitor go blank, just a straight line. No one else saw this but Kibum. He stepped back crying and he fell to the floor. The members diverted their attention to Kibum who was crying. Kibum couldn’t believe it. Kevin…..Kevin was…..he…
Kevin was dead, and it was all Kibum’s fault.
