Jack is such a flailing, happy, innocent creature here...even with all the fucking. Ianto's a new toy for him to play with and it's so painful to see all this from Jack's perspective and know what's really going on. I've wanted to rewatch the first few episodes of S1, especially Cyberwoman, ever since Fragments aired because I feel like I would appreciate it so much more. At the time I think I remember being pretty confused about why the hell Jack was taking everything so personally.

And yeah, *this* would be why. I loved this story btw:)

I rewatched the first few episodes shortly before Fragments came out, and then when I saw the Jack/Ianto hiring scenes there was a painful sort of *click*...
