Stephen Crabb
Strengths: Able to talk about politics in a way that sounds almost like a human being
Pub fact: He spent part of a pre-university gap year working as a labourer at Newport docks and living in a tent.
Liam Fox
Weaknesses: He is generally prefixed as “the disgraced former defence secretary”
Pub fact: His reputed friends have included, over the years, the actor and singer Natalie Imbruglia, the EastEnders star Michelle Collins and - it was reported they used to write to each other - Mother Theresa.
Michael Gove
Strengths: He’s not Boris Johnson.
Weaknesses: He’s not Boris Johnson, and will be seen as the assassin of the former mayor’s ambitions.

Ben Wright @BBCBenWright Asked about leadership contest at Brexit speech John McDonnell effectively says bring it on. Expects challenge in next few days.
Guardian: McDonnell says he will chair a Corbyn leadership campaign and says he hopes it will bring in new members.
McDonnell says Labour accepts that free movement of people will end after Brexit. Labour needs to discuss immigration. McDonnell says Jeremy Corbyn has "excellent relationships" with socialist parties in Europe and will work with them to get a deal for UK.
McDonnell: "I will never stand for leader of the Labour Party. I will chair [Jeremy's] campaign."
McDonnell says mass resignations from Labour frontbench has allowed a 'new generation' to come forward.

1) at 8.53am, Gove rang Boris campaign adviser Lynton Crosby to say ‘I’m running’. Crosby replied ‘Running what?’ Gove: “I’m running for the leadership myself’.

a) "At 6 pm on Tuesday Boris met Andrea Leadsom for a ten minute one-on-one discussion in her office. He tried to convince her to join his ticket by offering her Business Secretary and an EU negotiating role. She rejected it out of hand, insisting she would only take Chancellor. At that point there was no intention whatsoever from Team Boris of offering the hitherto junior figure such a key role ( ... )
