Taiwan had an big 6.4 magnitude earthquake about 3 1/2 hours ago. Luckily no one was hurt. (The epicenter was in, I believe, the southern mountains, and that area is far less populated than the north) When I was in Taiwan, there was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake. The epicenter was in Hualien county, which is fairly far away from where I lived way up ( Read more... )

I know... but he'll be fine! I do hope his movie gets started up again though! As for Jay Chou, I feel for him...

New movie?! (I'm going to blame me not knowing about it on the fact that it's a mainland movie, and I don't follow mainland stuff...) Yay!
I hope he does too! That would be cool.

I've been following your livejournal for a while and I just wanted to say that I LOVE how you talk about Taiwan. I try to go back every summer but for now your posts bring back a lot of memories for me. I actually haven't been following Taiwanese entertainment as much as Korean entertainment recently (shame on me) but your posts help...A LOT! Thanks!! :)

P.S. I LOVE Kim Bum. Seriously, so hot...

Aw, thanks!!!

What can I say, I love Taiwan. I wasn't there for that long, in the scope of things, but I already know it's a place I'll always love, and always return to. (That's awesome that you go there every year! Do you have family there?)

I know what you mean about getting sucked into K-entertainment! It's hard not to, since there's so much easily accessed information out there for Korean stuff, whereas for Taiwan you've got basically nothing (or at least basically nothing in English).

OMG I KNOW! That boy is so hot, and it happened overnight (or at least it seems to me)!

That's great that you had such an amazing experience in Taiwan! I think I remember reading that you stayed in Taipei, is that right? How'd you like it there? And yep, most of my relatives live in Taiwan. :)

That's exactly how I feel about entertainment these days! It's just so easy to find K-Pop related things, especially in English. C-Pop..not so much. I do try to keep up with my favorite artists...but I really should just improve my Chinese reading/writing skills XD.

Oh, and YES! Kim Bum seemed to rise up so quick! I absolutely loved him & Kim So Eun in BOF, haha. He looks gorgeous in his new drama, but right now I'm currently obsessed with Chuno...

I actually lived right outside the city, in Danshui (which was amazing, I loved living nearby the river and the harbor). I loved it there, so very much. It was pretty hard (what with my not being anywhere near fluent), but I managed well enough! Though the staring did bother me ;P
You're lucky to have people you know there! Really makes things easier :D

Exactly! Like, I didn't even known Fahrenheit had a concert in Taipei last October (and I was there!), yet I could find out in a second when and where Kpop concerts are. It's crazy.

I adore him in Boys Before Flowers, he was so adorable, and I so very much shipped him and Kim So Eun. Ah, I keep hearing great things about Chuno! I'm actually only watching his drama right now though (drama slump of epic proportions!).
