I am utterly insanely exhausted from last night's squee-fest. After watching AnD episode 8, I was all hyper and didn't go to sleep until 2am. And then I woke up late this morning, and blaah. I'm dead to the world ( Read more... )

The only one I have seen from that list is Ryusei no Kizuna. There was a lot I loved about that show: the relationship between the siblings, the method of storytelling, and the flashbacks. But the overarching mystery was a disappointment, which kind of ruined the whole thing for me.

Oh, that's too bad! I love mystery shows and stuff, so I was hoping they're be a good plot. I'll probably still watch it eventually, but maybe not right now. Thanks for the heads up!

Lavender - is that the twdrama? It's my first ever drama, and yeah, it was pretty tragic, but I was completely hooked.

Have you watched One Litre of Tears? Oh man, I watched it on marathon and cried for 11 hours straight.

A serious kdrama I'm following right now is Story of a Man/The Slingshot. It's a revenge story, but oh my, the whole series is INTENSE. The villain is definitely a very fascinating character, and the drama's protagonist has his own set of charms. The series is going to end next week, so by then, it's easy to marathon.

Yup, Lavender is a twdrama! It was actually one of the first twdrama I heard about, and it's been on my list for ages, but I haven't gotten around to it (I have to be in the mood for a sad drama, otherwise it won't work). My first drama was HYD :D

I have not, and I thought about it, but as much as I want a sad drama, I don't know if I could handle the sob fest that is that drama... I feel the same about Silence, actually.

I've heard good things about that drama! Kdramas are a little harder for me to get into, but I have liked every kdrama I've seen, so I should give it a shot!

Thanks for the recs!! *puts them on massive MASSIVE drama list*

I watched half of the Koizora drama. I, um, had issues with it. I basically hated the Hiro character (and actually hated Seto Koji because of that character for a long time... until AnD of course!). I watched some of the movie, but not all of it. I think I liked it better.

ETA: A wonderful cry-inducing drama is jdrama One Litre of Tears, which is based on a real story of a girl who finds out she has a muscle deteriorative disease during her teens.

It has excellent acting and not too much melodrama (though it does have some very deliberately emotional moments), but still a very tearjerker plot very much fitting with the name of the drama :).

BTW, the main love interest, Nishikido Ryo, also appears in Ryusei no Kizuna.

Eh... I don't ordinarily beg on the Internet...

BUT IF YOU CAN FIND THE MOVIE (NOT THE DRAMA) VERSION OF "SEKAI NO CHUUSIN DE, AI WO SAKEBU" AND FORWARD THAT LOCATION TO ME, I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND EVER. I SWEAR, I'VE SPENT 3 HOURS LOOKING FOR THAT TONIGHT AND THE CLOSEST I'VE COME WAS A HALF-DEAD PUBLIC TORRENT AND A TORRENT WITH 5 SEEDS ON A PRIVATE TRACKER THAT I CAN'T ACCESS.

Seriously though... it's making me sad. And cry. I watched the movie once in last year in college and I'm trying to find it again...

So please, if you can find it, could you please forward the location/any information to me?

Get ready to love me forever, because I found it!

I did a bit of recon, and managed to track down the movie version of Sekai no Chuushin de, Ai wo Sakebu.

It's in three parts, so you'll have to join it by hjsplit.
Part one, Part 2, Part 3, Subtitles.

I'll assume you know how to load the subs and everything, but it you don't, just ask!

The file is around 700MB, and apparently pretty good quality, but I haven't downloaded it yet, so I can't give first hand experience.

Also, I got this from a community here, so please don't pass the links around. I don't want them banning me or anything (I think that could happen, I'm not really sure...)

Enjoy!
