Special A: rainbows and ponies!

May 31, 2009 18:28

As much as I tried to resist the lure of manga, I couldn't. On Friday I went back to the bookstore and bought four more volumes, two more of Wild Ones, and two more of Special A.

Speaking of Special A, it's totally my new thing. phrenk alerted me to the presence of a Special A anime, and I was all over that. I ADORE this anime/manga. It's shoujo, but ( Read more... )

Yay! Watch it, it's sooooo cute!

I watch anime on and off. I prefer dramas, so those usually take up my time, but I actually started with anime years and years ago.

I started watching Peach Girl (and will probably finish, eventually) but some of the character's voices really bothered me...

so I started Marmalade Boy but I'm quite concerned because your post and mv totally sold me on Kei-kun but from the first bit and googling it it looks like Yuu is her OTP? and frankly he bores me from the first second. NOOOOO!!

I love Peach Girl, but voices are always hard with anime...the last few episodes of it were pretty lame, to be honest, but I LOVED the first three-fourths or so.

:DD I'm glad you're into to it! I want to talk about my fav ep, but I'm not sure if you watched/read about it yet LOL. The other thing I love about Kei and Hikari's relationship is how they have battles all the time. Hikari is always like "It's a battle!!" but Kei just wants to spend time with/protect Hikari XD!

I LOVE it! So much so that I actually don't dislike any characters (Akira is my least favorite character, but I still like her)!

I've watched up to episode 15 so far. It's okay to spoil me though! Especially with anime and manga, I tend to watch/read the end of the series shortly after beginning it.

I love that about their relationship too! They're so adorable together! Hikari is pretty awesome, always challenging Kei, and Kei is awesome in that he doesn't let her win, because that wouldn't be fair.

I didn't like Megumi that much at first, though I thought the whole writing thing was cute! But actually later on her character got some story line and then she was really cute to me! So I ended up liking her alot!

Oh ok! One of the funniest eps I watched was the one where Hikari suddenly gets asked by Tadashi to be his girlfriend XD But come to find out she is just going to pretend but they go on this pretend date together and it's the funniest thing ever lmao. Because of course they get trailed by the rest of SA and Akira getting angry at Tadashi for it is really funny.

Kei is just so perfect and talented that it really is hard to beat him ne! Sometimes he is competing with Hikari but if she needs to be rescued he also effortlessly helps her! He's so cute because rather than being this seemingly inhuman perfect boy, he's in love with Hikari so he still gets embarrassed when it comes to her ne! I love how he still tries to eat her cooking even though it's completely horrible XD

Aw, thanks!! I love doing it, so I'm glad it's appreciated ;D

I keep hearing about it from other people, and so I was like, maybe I should watch it...

I like Kay as a name for a girl (and obviously Kei as a name for a guy), but I think it'd sound weird (to me, at least) in America. (Of course this is coming from someone who's three favorite male names are rather feminine)

Really? Cool! Sailor Moon was my first manga... and my first anime. Marmalade Boy was my third anime, and second manga. It's strange that I remember this after all these years...

Tristan, Adrian, and Julian. (I like names that end in "n", apparently)
I have a thing for names... if I ever have a kid it'd have one of those really long WASPey aristrocratic sounding names because I'd never be able to choose just two.

I got into Sailor Moon in.. hmm.. 1996, I believe. When I was 12 or so. It was my first anime, and I loved it a ton. I still have a sailor moon bank and hairclips (my first ebay purchase)!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS. I had a brief and INTENSE love affair with Special A, one I am destined to repeat someday. I LOVED it.
