Went to watch "Lost" and found.... a whole lot of "Dancing with the Stars". Seriously? *shakes fist at ABC and DVR* I'm going to have to watch it online this weekend, I guess. Luckily, I was able to watch SPN in real time last night

That's true, worrying is a waste of time. [although, I can never really buy that whole theory that it's not involuntary]. I say "yay" for house's sold and the next great job is just around the corner. I demand it.
That's a bunch of not goods. *hugs* Hope things improve soon (I assume COBRA is some kind of Health insurance? The American systems confuse me effortlessly since we get free coverage through public systems here. And unemployment is also a kind of insurance? So therefore runs out? We have a social service in NZ, so there's no such thing as it running out, which in the recession is just as well for a lot of people. I sympathise on the job search front especially because of that)
Yes, you get unemployment payments when you lose your job, but they will run out this week, as will the option to purchase health insurance through my old employer.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something comes through soon on the job front - it would just make things easier in a lot of ways.
Ha, DWTS was undoubtedly miles better than this week's Lost! I think your DVR did you a favor, tbh.
And oh crap, good luck with the insurance thing. Eep. Good luck on the job front and getting covered. If I were you, I'd be explore acupuncture, etc (if it's at all appropriate) before getting into the big S!
I'm going to keep my fingers crossed so that you'll find a job soon. It's a shame that you didn't even get a chance to talk to the hiring manager. It seems so unfair.
I'm just going to hug you very gently because you have so much going on right now, with the insurance and your poor shoulder. Let's hope that the insurance companies will start talking to each other soon and that you'll be able to find some affordable coverage soon. I just wish I could do something to help. *hugs*
One of my friends had a psychologist for a father. He used to tell her "Life ain't fair, and you ain't special." I kind of love that, and use that line ALL THE TIME. It's a truth we all eventually learn.

Acupuncture is probably a good step at this point - I think I'll look into that.
