She smiles and runs her fingers softly through his hair.  She loves this time, watching him while he sleeps.  He is peaceful.  There is no battle between his two halves now, only contentment.  This is when he looks his most vulnerable and most human.  She kisses him lightly on his slightly parted lips.  "I love you, ashayam."

I have been wondering about this forever....
Where did the term "ashayam" originate? Is it canon?
and if so, in what universe is it spoken?

Not sure if it is cannon but I researched in the Vulcan Language Dictionary which defined at as the following:

ashayam - beloved - a beloved person; used as a term of endearment; similar to t'hy'la but more personal and with emotional connotations; used in fan fiction
