I like to listen to the same songs on repeat.
Over and over again, until I've memorized the words, the beat, the rythm of the music. Over and over again until they're worn out. Dull, old, faded. That's when I know that it's time to move on to a new song, a better one.

and then there's those very few good songs that don't really die...
but rather get stuck inside your head permanently (although not always consciously) and then it's like they are a part of you, or a part of your life - and things just wouldn't be the same without them.
music is a powerful thing.
