I *could* appreciate a garish and tacky christmas sweater, if it were high enough quality of knit and material, but machine woven acrylic is just so low class, yech. Now if you made it of some lovely wool like mohair, cashmere, or angora, well, then it would be a terrible way to abuse a lovely wool... LOL I never did see the point in clothes that last only one season or, in this case, less. I wear clothes that can be my snuggly fuzzy joy for years. Right now I have the most splendid cardigan (buttonless) made of a thick fuzzy blended conton, silk and mohair wool. Oh it's warm, and knobbly, and golden toned. Sweaters shouldn't make you scream, they should cozy around you.
My mom loves shit like this. She has enough to wear one EVERY DAY OF DECEMBER. And some of them are from when I was a kid - I'll be 31 in a week. She thinks they look good and people laugh because they like them. SORRY MA, THEY'RE ALL LAUGHING BECAUSE YOU LOOK LIKE AN ASSTARD.
