[voice post] strikes are so hackable it hurts.

[the audio turns on, but for a while there is only silence.]

Everyone is always speaking on these panopticons....I've never heard so many voices. Except in the streets....but none of them made sense. They were too close together. Should I speak, too? I'm not sure what to say.

The ocean is...pretty. But there's something strange about it. I haven't ( Read more... )

Fish and fowl abound and swarm 'neath the churning deep, acting their parts as do we.

No fish seems odd, birds not so much. I assume we're far out and birds only swim out to sea to die.....I don't think that's a comforting thought right now, is it?

What concerns me is the lack of any animals whatsoever. I haven't seen any dolphins, whales or any other animals that need to surface and often accompany ships.

birds go out to sea to die... Maybe that's it. I don't really know very much about...anything.

Hey now, think of it as a learning experience. I'm going through something similar. Not much is familiar to me here.

The lack of fish may be strange, but not so strange as to be distressing. We're out so far, chances are the majority of sea creatures around here only thrive in the deep--the depressurization of coming up to the surface would probably kill them. As for the lack of birds, some do come out rather far, at least back where I come from, but only in certain places and under certain conditions.

I wouldn't worry about it. Particularly when there are tigers and locked rooms and strange jumping birds inside the ship to concern yourself with.

You're very knowledgeable about the ocean.

Kras--my city back home--started its existence as an eco rig constructed over a tiny island chain in the middle of the sea, hundreds of miles from the mainland. After a couple decades living in a place like that, you're bound to learn something.

Interesting. My homeland is an island as well.

What troubles me is the lack of dolphins or other aquatic mammals. I've been observing and I haven't seen any schools of fish or surface feeders.

You're on this ship and you're worried about the lack of ocean life?

And I'm sorry to say that I doubt anyone knows about your friends. If they were here, they surely would have heard you and found you by now.
