The infection has to be coming from somewhere for staph. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in order for it to just bubble up somewhere your bloodstream would have to be colonized. Which would suggest that the elbow is not the primary point of infection. Ummm... How is your appendix?

Appendix is fine. The only thing I have come up with is that I got a splinter at Alchemy in my hand two weeks before this started. I took it out, but the hole got a mild infection that lasted a few days. It was on my palm, and the whole thing was smaller than a dime, but that's my only guess.

I've got a small spot forming on my elbow that feels strange, like a deep blister. This may be the beginning of the formation of a pus pocket (a name I'm totally using if I ever start a punk band, BTW). Pus pockets can be lanced and cleaned and drained and are a good sign.
