I am very sorry to hear that Rickey couldn't hold on. But I, like you, believe that these people are still with us despite the fact that, physically, we're unable to interact with them. It's the same way I feel about Mark. It does make me terribly sad that I won't be able to please my physical self by giving it the tangible interaction with him that it can comprehend, but my spiritual self is in contact with him as much as it ever was while he was still here.
I hope that all works out for Lewis on the Vocab thing. *crosses her fingers*
Oh and yes, the questions posed to Dr. Laura were hilarious! I listen to her show in the car at lunchtime every now and then and I have to say that I don't particularly agree with most of what she says. It is however amusing to listen to sometimes. ;)

The memorial is setup for this Saturday around 10AM. I'm going to squeeze out of here around that time to take my early lunch. I'll spend as long as I can there, but I dout it'll be enough. He is apparently being creamated(sp) and placed along side his mother, who also passed away 5 years ago. His family has asked for a few people to speak at the eulogy who worked with him; we'll see how that turns out
