So it's 11:30pm... and I'm kinda bored. I got out of the shower and Amanda had gone to bed. So I'm being a considerate roomie and I'm downstairs on Brittany's computer. I'm PRETTY sure she doesn't mind. Every time I ask to use her computer, she says it's fine. So I'm taking a liberty here. Brit if you read this and you don't like me using ( Read more... )

Be glad that you only have $35 taken out of each paycheck. My benefits cost me about $225 a month, so each check takes $112.50. It is sort of rediculous, but it's what we get for non-executive coverage. I don't know why the parents have it easier...maybe it's because they've already lived through the crap we are dealing with and we just weren't around to know about it. I know my dad has it really easy with medical supplies/visits, but I think that's because he put in like 40 years at his job and has been retired for the last 15 (retirement plans are that good, i assume).

A $300 deductible seems a bit high though. I'd have to check my paperwork at work to see what mine is, but I am pretty sure it is less than that. As far as doctor bills, your average checkup is a little over $100, emergency room visits are like a $1000 or two, but that's extreme circumstances you probably won't have to deal with. The OB-GYN deal....I dunno...ask a roommate.

hey. I came across your journal through sugarplum. I noticed that you go to school in Charleston. And I was wondering what school you go to. I go to JWU in Charleston.

Sorry for just intruding in your journal.

well thankfully when they move in 2006 I'll be all done. I might go to another campus to get another degree. I'm thinking Baking & Pastry. I already have my degree in Culinary Arts. And I'm going back for my degree in Foodservice Management.
