I've mentioned it often enough, so you all should know I took part in the 6th Toronto Photography Marathon this weekend. While a film photography event, I did use my digital to help set up a couple of the pictures, which I've included here.

Those of you who are in the Toronto area are welcome to come down to The Gladstone Hotel, Saturday July ( Read more... )

I really like the photograph for Sin Lives next Door. The coloration is perfect, reminescent of both late night red light district brothel and romantic riding into the sunset film at the same time. I am glad that the subject is not obvious, such as a strip club, bur rather subdued. It takes a moment to figure out what you are looking at and I like the lack of a sign showing bare fluorescent bulbs. The entranceway looks as if its been cut then pulled from the wall. Wonderful!

Thank you!
We'll have to see how this came out on film. I know the film is more sensitive that the digital, despite using identical settings. Took the film versions at higher f-stops for the night/dark images, so lets hope they turned out.

Thanks for telling me that you have a journal, I had no idea. I've just read all of your entries. I know that in the seven years we've all been friends there have been times when we see eachother very rarely and that is a shame. Both A. and I regard the two of you as very dear and wish we had more opportunities to spend time together.

I find LJ both a great way to keep in touch with friends from afar as well as give myself a frame of reference for my own life months or years down the line. As you may have noticed I post sporatically but when I do post they are very long posts :) Posting on LJ is actually on some days a warm up for working on my novel so it's also useful in that way.

The picture of Oko is so adorable and I hope Oko is doing well!
