They are her family now, and she can forget the sight of blood seeping into sand and the sound of a rasping death rattle and the feeling that she is alone in the world.

How sad yet hopeful at the same time. Living in England with the gang must have been quite an adjustment for Djaq in so many ways, but perhaps the biggest was realizing she was no longer alone.

Very nice.

It struck me that Djaq had a whole nother life before she met the gang, and that must have faced a fair bit of tragedy of her own.

Thank you :)

Lovely. Flows beautifully and conjures up very vivid scenes with only a few words.

And also I think it is nice to imagine that once she opens her heart up to Will that allows her to unlock those memories again and stay where they were created.

Good job!

It is indeed nice to imagine that :) - I like to think they lived together very happily.

Thank you!

Wow, this is amazing. I found it really wrenching and dark, but also a bit hopeful. She's trying to put the past behind her, and it's nice to know she realizes she's not alone in the world.

Well done.
