If you come in contact with poison ivy and immediately pour a lot of vodka into the throat, you won't fee the uncomfortable reaction. AND you'll feel MUCH happier too, about not having wasted it pouring it over the contact area.

what's "at least 100 proof"? how much proof would the pure alcohol be? I don't know the scale, and am too lazy to Google...
