Nope, it was $15. Too bad you missed out, it was great

(another) ETA: They played songs from "Here Comes Science" and "Flood." Listen to all the songs over and over and over again~ and then you might be able to make up for it.

I went! SO AWESOME!!!

"Bringing high velocity children songs to adults everywhere" is pretty much what TMBG is about. The ~avatars killed me.

IT WAS SO GOOD RIGHT.

I swear, I almost started to cry when they started playing "Birdhouse in Your Soul." It was so glorious. I'm ashamed to say that I don't know too many of their newer songs, but hey I'll get on that asap.

What other band can put on a little puppet show and rock out on the accordion and swear and sing about science and make it all work? The next time TMBG performs in LA at a convenient time, I'm definitely going.

I was there! Don't assume that all students in live in the dormitories! Though to be fair, I'm a graduate student, so after the concert I just walked back to my lab, since I had work to finish. Ha.

Woahhh I'm not assuming anything! Just saying that I didn't see on-campus students walking back to the dorms after the show, thus making the walk back very quiet and solemn. Except I started listening to more TMBG songs on the way back so it was coo'

(Are you a TA? You would make such a cool TA. I lack cool TAs right now ;_;)

Your lab is open then? Lucky - our buildings are closed on weekends so there's no reason for me to drive up to try & work

I went too. Also a grad student, walked over after being in lab all day. I'm a big fan of Birdhouse in Your Soul. But I still don't get their humor. No idea why you all thought those sock puppets were so funny.

There are labs that are closed on weekends? I mean, ours is "closed", but we have keys. If we didn't go in on the weekends, our boss would sack us.
