i used aegisub/virtualdub/avirecomp
aegisub to do all of the subtitles (main one)
virtual dub just to hardsub
avirecomp to resize (it was 7gbs after it was done with virtual dub lol)

yeah, we have to give those who sub those BIIIG round of applause. i tried subbing, and it took me half a day for a mere 3-minute PV too. i cannot imagine how much time they (subbers) put in for us to enjoy a subbed clip. they are truly wonderful. ^_^
