Screensaver?

Okay, new question: I can't seem to find an option for a screensaver in 12.04LTS.  I installed the Fspot programme I used in 10.04 for my screensaver, and it says I can set it as the screensaver, but that doesn't work.  I've searched the Software Centre and nothing exists on screensavers.  Where is this option?

Wow, did Ubuntu get stupid behind my back. Okay, I had found the xscreensaver packages on synaptic, but there doesn't seem to be one that uses my photos as a slideshow; there used to be one specifically for F-spot. Any ideas?

From the Ubuntu forums: 'select the GLSlideshow screensaver, click on the Advanced tab and under Image Manipulation, select "Choose Random Image" and specify the directory to use.' This is after you've installed and set up xscreensaver as per the link in my previous comment.

Okay, when I did that at first, the preview was only using the lame fire image thing, so it didn't look like it was working. Let me try that again.

Unless you can find a PPA for it, Ubuntu 12.x will remove xscreensaver during updates.

In another similar but different category, I use -) Wallch (- to auto change the background image...

Yeah, it was turning into too much trouble, so I gave the whole thing up as a bad job. Back to the stupid blank screen, I guess.
