Geek Love - Films and TV

First off, a quick movie report (willing to discuss more in comments):

The Dark Knight is good, and Heath Ledger's performance is great, but it's not 'the most amazing movie ever.'  The critics are all over it, but there were whole parts of it that I found meh storytelling-wise/acting-wise.  Specifically, I think Christian Bale phoned it in - phoned
