You haven't seen Donnie Darko!?

I actually kinda hate Sci-Fi, but I LOVED this one.

I like almost every genre except for those inspiring drama on wifetime Lifetime. IF they are good. Well thought out SciFi books, about 30% of them, are an all time favorite of mine. A well developed science fiction plot has two components, at least one scientic development that doesn’t exist and how that science touches, even if its just minutely, on the characters lives. When given the chance I always take the time to watch a new title at least once.

I’ve never even heard of Donnie Darko until this list. Quite a few of these movies I’ll have to check out now. ThatTwelve Monkey’s is on the list its number#11

Lately I've been obsessed with classic cold way post apocolyptic fiction with some exceptions. Have you ever read Earth Abides? It was so good that when I started reading it I was laying out by the pool in the summer and I forgot to turn over so I got a horrible half sunburn LOL.

I'll always prefer a book to film. I love good special effects and everything but not much compares to my own imagination. The only time I've failed myself was with Stardust. The movie was much more epic and pretty in film than it had been in my mind.

I’ve never read that one, but remember hearing it helped inspire Stephen King write “The Stand.”

Hands down most books surpass anything a movie could do. It seems the only time that isn’t the case, to me, is when the director takes the movie in a completely different direction then the book AND make a good film. That is rarely. :<)
