Maybe it's just one of those phraseologies that looks stranger seeing it written than it does saying it.

thats so cool! i wish i played something. im always admiringly jealous of musically inclined people, as i myself am very nonmusical :)

I'm jealous of musically inclined people who play better than I do, which is most of them. I wish I had put more time and dedication into it when I was younger. But I'm doing what I can now to make up for lost time.

I miss the good times I had in concert band as a teenager but don't miss the instrument itself. I do feel bad for letting myself forget how to play an instrument however. As a musician that's just something you can't help but feel bad about doing.

Yeah it sucks. :( I also miss concert band. It was a blast. I think most of all I miss violin. Not that I ever got really good or anything but still.
