Weird work scheduel today. I don't go in untl 6 pm and only work four-and-a-half hours. So I'm taking advantage of the afternoon. Since it's payday I've mailed off this week's batch of bills. Today I paid off one of the bills that's in collection. It was the smallest one but it still feels like real progress and everything else looks slightly less ( Read more... )

I left that community long ago. I just couldn't stand the drama and hypocrisy. Which is the same reason I've left church. I enjoy Bible study and deep meaningful discussions rather than being preached at and being forced to observe a show "for Christ." Which is why I consider myself to be far more spiritual than religious.

Whatever purpose that community served in my life, it's done now. It's drama I don't need.

I'm sorry, but reading "Papa Smurf says" and "Papa Smurf is always right" in this context made me crack up and has made my afternoon.

Sometime we grow beyond a group we used to love. It happens.

Glad you know it is the group not the Faith you dislike. Some people forget to separate those no matter the spiritual belief system.
