Well done for trying. I had repeated panic attacks when I tried to scuba dive too - and that was only in the pool not the ocean! Don't be too hard on yourself.

Thanks hon. I was pretty much ok in the pool but it was just all bad circumstances in the sea.

feeling sick with all that kit on then being chucked in the water was bound to cause a panic attack. Snorkeling sounds great though. In Bermuda with thought about diving but the snorkelling was go good we never got round to it.

I'm sure if you did want to dive again you could if you picked a calm spot etc, don't beat yourself up about what happened - it was perfectly natural, they shouldn't really have let you go in if you were sick. *hugs*

On the other hand - yay for snorkels! :)

Yeah I may just do one more snorkle day with them and pick up diving another day if I feel calm enough.

I tried diving one time and didn't like it - couldn't see, couldn't breathe properly. I might try again sometime in the future.
Enjoy the rest of what is around you.

*hugs* Diving when seasick is never a good idea, especially if it's your first experience in the water, I would have thought the instructor would take you somewhere a little sheltered from the waves if it's your first dive. Don't beat yourself up over it, I know a lot of experienced divers that would have called off the dive if they're feeling seasick. Get your referral paperwork from the instructor, you can always carry on with the course at a later date.
Enjoy the snorkelling - a lot of the time all the really interesting stuff is in the shallow water anyway.

Thank you. They changed instructors on us too which didn't help. My pool instructor was annoyed and upset they did this to us and he sent me a big hug through a mutual friend of ours.

I will pop in to see them later, get my paperwork and book another snorkle with them to make up for the day I lost.

Maybe I'll come out and finish it with you one day. Heh.
