Goffs!Until a few days ago, I've been in Needles, and not Goffs. Needles is were I went to school; Goffs is where I grew up. Needles has about 5,000 people and Goffs has about 23. Needles and Goffs are super redneck-y, but Democrat-lovin' as well. God, guns, family, and Democrats. Oh, and crystal meth, beer, fighting, and motocross ( Read more... )

I know! I do have snaggletooth in that pic (but not in RL). I don't know what's going on there.

The add-on to the store makes it look like the fake Rock Ridge in Blazing Saddles.

Shit. Now I want to watch blazing saddles.

Also, your hometown looks just like you said it did when you used to write about it a loooooooooong time ago.

I really wanted to shoot clay pigeons, but never got around to it. That and blaze around in an ATV. Next time.

It's been awhile since I've been around them. Watching them fight was great.

this is awesome. I know absolutely nothing about the desert but it's fun to see some parallels to my family in northern Minnesota / North Dakota.

do you hike in those mountains?

You can hike in the mountains, but I didn't. It would take awhile to walk there (like a day or so) and I don't have a car. Was your town really small as well?

not that small. 2,500 in E. Grand Forks where my dad grew up but Grand Forks is like 60,000. I went back & forth between there & Minneapolis. My mom lives on a (hobby) farm that's about a mile from the nearest house.
