Well, Chinese New year goes by a different Calander than the Gregorian calendar. It just so happens that the first day of the lunisolar Chinese calendar this year is on Valentines day.
I-I don't think you have to give presents for Valentines Day... it's supposed to be a day where you show those you love that you care and spend it with them. U-usually a s-significant other... I-I think.
