You're right about John Kerry--he did the right thing. I can respect the fact that Bush is the President and that he won the election fairly and I can respect the troops--it's not their fault we're in Iraq.

I guess my biggest thing (and I don't think I'm arguing against you particularly) is that I can't respect Bush himself. I disagree with most of the decisions he has made over the past four years and I am thoroughly worried about the next four.

Laura, I think I feel the same as you do. I'm seriously scared about the next four years. I just hope we aren't totally screwed over.

I agree with both of you.

I respect that Bush won the election fairly, and realize that he has a position of authority that deserves respect, but at the same time I still do not like him as a person or a leader.

I don't agree with many of his views, and I hate the fact that the American people never seem to get the true story anymore. Most Americans are confused and think that Iraq is somehow connected with September 11th, when it's really not. I just think that we need some sort of solid proof or evidence to bomb an entire country. If anyone can explain Bush's logic to me, go ahead, but support yourself... I'll try not to rip anyone to shreds.

you guys are all so much more grown up than me, im like a sulking little girl... i dont like him at all, i find every aspect of his character distatefull, and i cannot respect him as president nor can i aknowledge him as the president. to me, hes just a man who lives in DC. I cannot respect a man i do not trust and under no circumstances do i trust him, its as simple as that. I respect the position, its one of the most honorable jobs a person can hold, but i do not respect the person in the position.
