I'm not really *here* here, but I've been struggling with this stupid computer for two days and I just need someone to help me before I set my hair on fire.

Please help me burn video files from the computer to play on a standard DVD.

Does the DVD player play .avi? (A lot of old ones will.) I used to use the free Divx converter (http://divx.com) to make everything avi and burn my own discs that way. If you use it, just make sure your screen size is set the way you want (original, wide, whatever). I have Windows, but Divx is Mac compatible, so it should work.
