Oh yeah!

I was just reading some articles about interesting objects on mars. I was thinking about how great it would be if we could just send someone there to check these things out. That would greatly accelerate the research. Then I remembered, we ARE going to be sending a manned mission to mars this term! Bush promised! And when Bush says something, ( Read more... )

How do I plug all these holes you've created? First off, the space station only has the capacity to sustain a crew of three. It can not and will not harbor an entire crew from a shuttle, period. In the event of a doomed shuttle flight, future shuttles will have the capability to make it to the station. However, the crew will still have to take refuge in the shuttle for meals, hygiene, sleeping quarters and such. The only reason that they would go there at all is for rescue purposes since the station is the only place with a system of docking ports and airlocks to make a transfer of crew members to another shuttle possible. This is what the "best and brightest" devised as the only way to save a crew. And President Bush did in fact eliminate the crew quarters, service module and science laboratory from the space station design ( ... )

In regards to the termination of modules, you will see that they were cut because the General Accounting Office is doing an audit of NASA for potential financial malfeasance because it was spending 4 billion a year on a project it asked and was budgeted 2.1 billion dollars for ( ... )

The War hughmanist December 29 2004, 02:54:54 UTC
On the contrary mate, time will prove you wrong. We're going to lose this war, and time will prove ME right. And in the end we'll get what we have coming to us, the humiliation and contempt from the rest of the civilized world, which we are already beginning to see. Leveling a city of a quarter million people in Fallujah didn't create two hundred fifty thousand new friends, it brought us that many new enemies. Do you actually believe that those citizens are elated that we destroyed their homes, lives and livelihoods? We're hopelessly stuck over there now with no way out, while our dedicated troops are dying horrible deaths needlessly. And obviously you don't care and that sickens me.

Is it better to be loved or feared? I guess that depends on who you’re talking about. I would rather be feared by a people who stone their wives to death if they suspect infidelity. If you haven’t noticed, the Middle East has not yet embraced the concept of Judeo-Christian love, forgiveness and tolerance. Small minded men such as those respect nothing but power and force. We have extended the hand of friendship to every nation on Earth. Most nations have accepted it, and their only gripe with us is that we don’t give them as much money as they would like. A few nations insist on hating us not for what we do, but for what we are; free, capitalist and non-Muslim. For people who wish you harm and who are unwilling to negotiate a reasonable solution, there is only one resolution ( ... )
