I know you all hate it when I review this show, so you can all skip this if you want. I hope you read it though! I love you all and crave attention.

About 30 of us are here at one of M's house watching So You Think You Can Dance on a projector that's aimed at, and I shit you not, an 18-foot tall wall. This house is huge and gorgeous. I want ( Read more... )

He's got a creepy slay-your-puppy, gut-it, eat-the-entrails, smile-the-whole-time, never-feel-bad-about-it look to him.

Very excited for the season. I didn't HATE anybody which is a good start. I loved some routines, liked others, had issues with some. Loved Lacey and Kameron...perfect time for them to pull contemp and get the "can she handle it" question out of the damn way. I loved a lot of the routines. Ricky and Ashlee's was problematic, with the height and his oddness. Neil was a bit off. I mostly agreed with the judges.

I must say I didn't..."get" Wade's routine. It was a bit too much for me.

I'll agree about the not hating anybody - yet - but there weren't that many that made me want to clap and cheer either. People are *still* comparing her to her brother. This won't help her at all.

I actually watched last night- was bored and didn't want to look at math books. I don't remember the last time I saw so many gay men paired with women, postering for a straight world. After watching, I'm not sure any of the competing men are straight- nor any of the male judges or choreographers. So, I literally think this show is more gay than American Idol.

Of the judges and choreographers, only Tyce Diorio and Brian (something) are gay; the others are straight, surprisingly so. Alex de Silva, for example, left his wife for his dance partner - the cute Asian girl with the horrible platinum-blonde hair. Dan may or may not be, but he's such a twat that nobody'd do him anyway. I think Nigel is throwing you off. He's the trick question in "Is He Gay or Just Really English?" game. Shayne's not gay either. Dance is filled with straights, overrun.

Of the dancers, the only one I know for sure is Danny, but he's been out publicly for a while now, much as has his brother, Travis. I have my thoughts about that Kameron guy and Jesús, but I'm not sure. There are some other contestants that I may be getting false positives on.

Last year, the straight guys in the top 10 were many and various shades of hot: Dimitri, Benji, Musa, Stanislov, amd Jaymz (what a stupid spelling). The others were gay or just a little ambiguous.

Ah yes. I've played the "Is he Gay or just very European" game quite often. I had to explain to my straight German room mate why it was not highly conventional to walk around town in hot pants and a pink scarf.
