VanCon 2015: Photo Ops - Jensen
The thing to know about the photo ops is that they move REALLY fast. For the big three (Jensen, Jared, and Misha) you wait in the auditorium for your range of ticket numbers to flash up on the screens, because if you go to the photo line too early, you will be turned away. Balderdash!
Jensen has a genuine, lovely smile in this picture, and while it's not a 'this is my best friend in the whole world' level smile, it is definitely 'thank you for coming here to see me, I appreciate you as a fan' level. And you look cute...and yeah, dazed.
(I remember my first photo op with Jensen--well, actually, I remember the aftermath, not the actual 10 second encounter--I walked out after having hugged Jensen OMG Ackles and went to the ladies room and started crying for no reason I could figure, thinking, 'I am a fifty-something-year-old mature woman, why on earth am I crying?!' I found out later that it pretty much happens to everyone the first time and that reaction has a formal name among fans: The Ackles Effect!)

Thank you for sharing your experience with me, too, it helps to know that I'm not alone--I'm another fifty-something grown up woman who melted under the Ackles Effect! (I'm going to use that term, too, from now on)
