As "lightly" as I take the two days of the Weather Channel getting all OMG!EXCITED over Hurricane Sandy, I am actually making preparations for the possibility of having to deal with the consequences of nature's fury. Several days of water (drinking and flushing)? Check. Several days of non-perishable food? Check. Batteries and flashlight?

Thankfully we're on city water, so we don't have to worry about not having water (a lot of people have well water). But even still, I'll be filling a few big jugs just in case. Be safe!
