Hey there. I am putting together an initial FTM SRS advocacy group and I'm wondering if you can give me any information to tell them about how Ontarian's went about getting it reenlisted, specifically Phallo.
I can't seem to find anything useful online but I'm thinking of activism and concerted pressure against the provincial government.
I'd contact Gail Knudson and Trevor (can't think of his last name) from CPATH. Dr. K is associated with UBC and Three Bridges. They are both doing advocacy around this.
Phallo wasn't specifically advocated for in Ontario. It was already covered, in theory, when SRS was delisted in 1998 so when it was relisted, it came as part of the package deal. The difference is that now more of us are able to get coverage for it. The odds are that the province relisted it figuring that it'd lose shudl they be taken back to court, given they lost every time someone filed against it.
