On January 10th, 2008 at age 86, Maila Nurmi....otherwise world famous as "Vampira" from Plan 9 From Outer Space, has slipped this mortal coil.

She will be forever remembered as a queen among vamps and inspiration for such icons as Elvira. Her look was inspired by Morticia Addams.
