oh, this was lovely. Magenta is an underused character, but one of my favorites. it was a treat getting to see how shifting feels, and what she wants to do after graduation.

AMEN

Intelligence is an often-ignored facet in anything media-related. I'm glad to see that you've written Magenta as wanting to go into it! I wonder if anyone else realizes that she's got that potential...?

Artistic license? So not a bad thing. This has no need to be called fanon -- it's an awesome interpretation of what Magenta *might* be feeling, which is the basis of all fanfiction.

I love how outwardly reserved she is in this, and the way she is realistic about her powers while still knowing that she will be working to save the world. That's the best thing about the "sidekick" characters: (eventually) their egos fall to the side and they just go about helping to the best of their abilities.

I teared up a bit reading that. Don't give up Magenta! Guinea pigs can save the world!

Easily the most outstanding Sky High fic I've read. I love the step of sympathetic imagination you take here to bring Magenta front and centre, how you've thought through what it means to be her. You show the complication of her feelings about her powers and future so well, and mixing them in with pride and hope is great. And her youth! The details about her mother work well, and the final reveal of what the shifts into was perfect. And future spy! wee! Magenta is awesome, as is the idea of yet another category of people with powers helping out more quietly in this 'verse. Loved this.
