I went into the Presidential Debate full of anxiety. Mitt Romney has been trailing (thank God) and apparently trapped in a death spiral of his own making. The word for weeks has been that the debates are his last chance to turn the momentum. He had everything riding on this debate and would for sure be prepared as humanly possible

Turned on the debate. Gary Johnson and Jill Stein weren't there. Turned it off. Since I don't give a shit about gods, guns or gays enough to vote on them, but I do care about corporate bailouts, endless wars abroad, drone attacks on civilians and the erosion of civil liberties, I'm not going to pretend there's any significant difference between Obama or Romney. They're both souless party apparatchiks and I don't give a shit if one is gonna passively support gay marriage or one is gonna passively support tax cuts. Either way it's four more years of the same old shit.

I see you completely ignored the fact that Obama has continued Bush's endless wars for oil and prestige, even expanding them to new places like Libya and Yemen, ratcheted up "homeland security" and the erosion of civil liberties, ramped up the drug war, and done as much as Bush in punishing Wall Street speculators, namely continuing the bailouts and appointing former exes of Goldman Sachs to cabinet advisory positions. While Romney was being slammed for having dinner with the 1%, Obama was having a $10,000 plate fundraiser with Jay-Z and Beyonce complete with a tower of Cristal
