Do you ever get done "finding yourself"?

Don't tell me how to be
'Cause I like some suffering
Don't ask me what I need
I'm just fine out finding me...It took forever, but I'm back on the school path. It is the slow path. It is the long path. It is the "what the hell were you doing in all the adjoining years but complete crap" path. It is the right path ( Read more... )

I would also recommend against a humanities or liberal arts major. I got a Master's degree and was in grad school for four years and I'm doing the same shit I was as a high school grad. Get a career, poverty sucks worse and worse the older you get.

Hey, it's been a while. Thanks for putting up with that pomposity of mine. Sorry about all the rest.

Biology is cool. I thought I'd major in biology or art when I first went to college. As if that's not an odd enough combination, I somehow ended up with psychology and English...

Also, TVTropes is awful...I'll go there to look up one specific thing, and the next thing I know it's two hours later and I know more about some cartoon I watched when I was three years old than I will ever need to know.

Thanks for putting up with my pomposity. Yeah, I knew that happened to a lot of people so when I started taking classes I focused mostly on the stuff that'd be a prerequisite for any kind of major, so I don't have many wasted credits. I'm actually jumping right into the science part this time though...

On tropes it's gotten to the point where I find myself frustrated other people don't know about it just because it's so much easier to talk about how so-and-so's approach was totally anvilicious and that over there was a perfect example of kicking the dog.
