Yeah, it's pretty hard to follow one week at a time.
I'm looking at maybe printing this one up (like, on paper) in addition to a web-scroller. If I could work out a long accordion-fold, that would be ideal...

Something like that could work, with the right comic. The problem is most IC comics are really designed to be more self contained, one sitting works - and the readers know this. Bill G, I think, once tried the "trickle out" method with his It's About Girls. If I remember the response was pretty overwhelmingly negative. Even !, which breaks fairly well into narrative chunks (page by page) makes for an admittedly frustrating (serialized) read.
It's the old "writing for the archives" dilemma.

But it could work. A pretty regular update schedule would help. I once envisioned an infinite canvas that would update daily, one panel a day (actually, at my standoffishest best, it was a gag strip updating one panel at a time).
Are we the kinds of cartoonists that could keep enough of that kind of focus on one project to draw an audience?
