It said it couldn't find an appropriate plug-in for my firefox and that I should use parallels or something similar to run XP. I can try using rosetta and seeing if it's that I have an intel mac, but I'm loathed to as rosetta's slooow.

Nope, doesn't work on MacOS at all using firefox, nor can I get it to run using Firefox on linux :(
