A friend that I haven't seen or spoken to in over three years instant messaged me yesterday. We were really good friends and it is kind of sad that we lost touch for so long, but it did not feel like it was that long (she is now living in New York and will be in the Detroit area to visit in a week). Put me in a nostalgic state, hence the return

are you going to come visit me? we can watch Law and Order SVU. And Coldstone is 1/4 mile from my apartment. Also, you should really have seen Crash... and War of the World is worth a watching, too.

Univ. of Texas in Austin has a PhD program in counseling psychology (which is what my M.A. degree is in)....which I will probabley apply to (a problem is that they don't guarantee funding for the first year for doctoral students). As to visiting...I need to save up some money (aside from me not putting anything beyond interest on my loans and a $1200 visa bill from when my care had multiple issues this past winter and only making about $13.50 an hour before taxes are yanked out)...I heard War of the Worlds was bad. Just saw The Island which I liked.

We saw Wedding Crashers last night, and Hustle and Flow last week (yea, lots of movies... that's what happens when the theaters offer you cheap food and beer). Wedding Crashers is more my style (pretty funny right up till the end, which was one big walking cliche), but I didn't totally hate Hustle and Flow, either -- it was decent all the way through the ending.
