Buffy shoved Kendra against the wall, pressing her thumb against her throat hard enough to choke her. Her fingers curled around the other Slayer’s strongly muscled neck.
It hurt Buffy to breathe, but she forced herself to spit out the next three words. “Want to reconsider?”
Kendra could only gag helplessly.
After thirty seconds, Buffy let go of Kendra. The other Slayer slumped against the wall and gasped loudly.
“You will not always win,” said Kendra between gasps. “Emotion clouds your judgment.”
“You’re right,” said Buffy.
She grabbed Kendra and shoved her back against the wall, pressing her body against Kendra’s and kissing her hard. Buffy’s teeth raked Kendra’s lip. A trickle of blood ran down Kendra’s chin and stained Buffy’s shirt.
“Feel that?” said Buffy. “That’s lust.”
