Cuddy thought about going mad often. She still remembered the feel of glass beneath her finger tips; how Foreman had stared at her with wide, wild, white eyes.
It plagued her constantly.
She decided that going mad was both a gradual thing and something that happened into a single pulse, like the trickle of a leaky facet and a bolt of liquid lightning. She decided that it was poisonous, the most awful type: raw, stomach-churning, throbbing in her veins.
It wasn't until Cameron kissed Cuddy that she realized she was mistaken; she wasn't going mad, she was in love.
