So most people know I'm applying for a job with the Police Dept doing 911. Things are going pretty smoothly on that front. I've passed all the tests, both the ones for Police Communications Officer I and II. The PCO I is the person who actually answers the 911 call, II is the dispatcher and takes the info that I got from the caller figures out how ( Read more... )

Reporters from the Capital-Gazette did a very interesting experiment last week. They went out to all the schools in the county to test security. At most of them they were able to find an open or unlocked door, enter the school and wander for anywhere from 5-20 minutes without anyone so much as saying "Boo" to them.
