The Westboro baptist church (godhatesfags.com) recently released a cover of "We are the World" called "God Hates the world (and everyone of her people)" and it's absolutely sickening

I've always wondered if those people are truly that hate-filled, or if it's some very elaborate, tongue-in-cheek act. It's just so very, very, very over the top that it's hard for me to believe in. They're like cartoon villains, or something -- it seems like real people should be more nuanced and less committedly EVIL than that.

I just wish the hateful fuckers wouldn't get as much publicity as they do. They do this shit so they can get on the news, and it's revolting that they're paid so much attention.

Man, I watched a Fred Phelps video a year or two ago, and just about the only thing scarier I've ever heard was this antisemitic campaign speech by Adolf Hitler (I couldn't make out the words, but the tone made my skin crawl). Those people are fucking scary evil.

But the real reason I am commenting is this: I am rather enamored of your icon.

Well you know, you have to admit, that protesting a funeral is pretty sleazy.
Sensationalist.... but you know - they have that 1st Amendment right to protest peacefully. However, they tend to incense riot where ever they go :)

I agree with the above poster... it seems so tongue in cheek and cheesy... but it's true.. they really hate the world. But they are only "evil" from our point of view, because they basically want us all to shrivel up and die :P

I don't necessarily want them to shrivel up and die.... I just want them to not be on the news..... and not grow as an organization. And that means procreation too :P
