I have been diagnosed as having postphlebitic syndrome.

This is all part and thanks to the first clot I had back in 2007. It means that the inner wall of the vein where the clot was is damaged and scarred, which makes the flow of blood less steady. It’s like having a stream with no obstructions and then dropping a bunch of boulders in it; the flow

On the one hand, it's good to know why Something Odd is happening... but, of course, it sucks that it's happening at all. Yay, knowledge of pain management! Boo, needing pain management. Yay, not needing to see a surgeon!
