If you phail, destroy all signs of even trying. :x
No, no. If you settle with the easy, you'll just regret your choices when you get old. The positive factors might just pwn the (painful)effort put into starting the whole shit.
I don't really think there's any definite answer to this. Sometimes it's better to jump into things, and sometimes it's better not to. You'll learn by the choices you make as you go. As a person that's not too good at jumping into things I think you learn more from doing than not doing. It also depends on what kind of person you are and what kind of life you want. As far as I know you're doing great. n_n
I often think about the "what ifs" as well, but in the end you just have to accept that it went the way it went and try to fix it or do differently next time. Unless you can jump back in time, that is. ;D (I've kinda wanted that ability a couple of times myself after watching Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo.) Learn by your mistakes!
It's important to think things over, but it's also important to sometimes just do, without overthinking it.
Mhm, it's just hard knowing when to jump and when not to, even with experience. Experience can be deceiving, especially in this area, I think.
I want to leap through time too! >_< However much I tell myself that thinking about how I could've done things differently won't help, I can't stop myself from doing it. I should definitely try to learn more from my mistakes, though. ^^

Of course. It's rarely easy. But you'll just have to take it as it comes. That's life, isn't it? ;P Experience isn't always a help, but I think it can be quite often. "This area" as in..?
I still regret small things I did years ago, so you're not alone. :cip: And I have no idea if I really learn that much from my mistakes, I just hope my subconscience does.
Hopefully my comment was kinda helpful and not just mindless rambling. o/
Yeah, that's life, I guess. "This area", as in regrets and jumping into stuff, I guess. :cip:
Haha, I think everybody regret some things like that. I regret a lot, but I'm trying my best to not care. And yes, it's hard knowing whether or not you really learn from mistakes. :p
Yeah, I found my entry way more rambling than your helpful comments. ;D
If nothing else, then jumping into matters will give you experience. And this is a bit of a contradiction; because I'd like to justify the "jumping" attitude by saying that you should depend on experience and not luck, because luck is too risky..
It is easier to live alone. But it lasts longer. In the end, it's just about which path you want to risk; oblivion, or apocalypse. I would not say either is better. But don't forget, only a Sith deals in absolutes (and though Sith are quite cool, that still means it's not a good thing).
Hm, that's right. Experience is always handy, and that's one think I'll never get from avoiding jumps. :3
And yes, I try to avoid absolutes. Even if Sith are completely awesome, I have no wish to become one. I'll try to stick to the golden middleroad (?), I guess. ^^
