Written for the Damon and Elena holiday exchange. I’m answering katy5219’s prompt -

This was just so much fun :D Couldn't help but notice how you managed to get him to carry her in this story, too :) Loved it.

Of course he had to carry her. (I don't think I have a single one of my stories where he hasn't picked her up at one point.) This time, with her broken leg, it was out of necessity.

I had a ton of fun writing it. Baking cookies is one of the highlights of my holiday season, so it was amusing to put Damon and Elena in the situation.

D'Ann this was fantastic! So light hearted and yet some real emotions in there too, so exquisitely done! And you included three of my favourite things - Damon carrying Elena, a kitchen scene, plus Damon's bed! So, so Awesome!

Well...they were baking cookies, so we had to have Damon with a towel slung over his shoulder somewhere in the story (I think I left that part in).

I know the prompt called for a "creative" place, but with her leg in a cast, I just didn't think the countertop or the floor would be very comfortable. Besides, she had to find out what kind of sheets he was using this week...

I have an easier time writing smut when I have emotion conveyed within it (which, I guess is why I go with it being either their first time or Elena's first time all together). I like to get in their heads a bit instead of going with just physical reactions.

I think this was probably the most "adult" I've ever written. You saying it's steamy is quite a compliment - thanks!
