bilbao 2011 (part 2)...

Mar 22, 2011 20:35

So sorry for the delay, here's the second part of my Bilbao photos!

First of all, I have some pictures of the Puente Colgante in Las Arenas/Portugalete - not as many as last time (see here), but still some very nice ones. I really love that bridge, and even though I'm a bit afraid of heights, I didn't feel uncomfortable up there! :D

I couldn't sleep so I thought: why not comment on these posts that haven't commented yet?

There's not much to say about this day, the pictures speak for themselves! Now that I see the pictures of the castle again I think "Why didn't I visit it earlier?". It was probably more than 15 years since I had last been there!

And what to say about San juan de Gaztelugatxe... Thank god you posted that other pic from a sunny day, cause no one could have appreciated the real beauty of the place on the pictures taken that day. The weather was awful (putting it mildly), and there's this one pic that bears witness to it (yes, that one you didn't post with the three of us)! But as you say there was a good side to this weather thing: the pintxos! We wouldn't have gone in if the weather had been better. Can you imagine missing all those?? xDD

I had to have a pintxo estrella as well
The "official" name for the pintxo is Gilda, by the way ;)

If I understood xurda87 and her sister correctly, Fran Yeste used to live in one of them while he played ( ... )

I still need to post the pics that show me, so if you ever get bored again or can't sleep, there will hopefully be another post for you soon! :)

It always happens like that with sights that are close to where you live, huh? There are so many things in my home town that I haven't visited just because I keep telling myself I can visit them anytime! And in the end I never go. XDD

I simply had to include that pic of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe on a sunny day because you can't see ANYTHING (except for fog) in my photos. XDD But as you said, there was a bright side to that awful weather: the yummy pintxos!! :D It would have been such a pity if we had missed them!! :D

Right, I remember you telling me that!! :D *tries to remember it this time* XD

LMAO, imagine if Yeste were still living there and watching us walk around on that day! *paranoid* XDDD
